Friends of Milton Library Inc (FOML) is a not-for-profit community group whose volunteers work in partnership with Shoalhaven City Council to operate extended hours at Milton Library and offer a Storytime program for pre-school children.
In 2014 the Shoalhaven City Council planned to close Milton Library and sell the historic Town Hall building that houses the library.
The local community rallied to save the library and with the assistance of the Hon. Shelley Hancock M.P., Friends of Milton Library successfully saved the library and reached an agreement with Council to expand and extend the services offered.
FOML refurbished the library, reopening on Monday 10th December 2018. This has created a more versatile space which allows for the operation of a fully functional library and also provides a vibrant community space that can be enjoyed by all.
